תכנות ליניארי

היי,

שתי שאלות:
1. האם בשאלות של תכנות ליניארי יציינו במפורש שיש לפתור ע"י תכנות ליניארי?
2. אם פתרתי שאלה בעזרת תכנות ליניארי למרות שניתן לפתור בדרך אחרת בסיבוכיות טובה יותר (זרימה למשל), האם אקבל נקודות על התשובה? (למשל במבחן 2014 מועד ב' שאלה 3- בדיקת פיזיביליות עם האילוצים המתאימים).

Hi.
1) Not necessarily… just like we don't tell you to use BFS… part of the question is often figuring out which technique or algorithm you need to use.
2) You will get some points for giving a correct answer, but very few, as another part of the question is finding the most efficient algorithm for the problem. It's better to have a correct, less efficient algorithm than an incorrect and efficient one, but it's better to have a correct, efficient one.

אוקיי, תודה.
ועוד שאלה קטנה- בתכנות ליניארי אני צריך להסביר עוד משהו מעבר להגדרת פונקציית המטרה והאילוצים או שזה מספיק? (כלומר יש מה להסביר גם על נכונות וסיבוכיות?)

If you are asked for complexity, then give it (polynomial time).. generally you won't be.
You don't HAVE to write anything else, but if it will make things clearer to understand, it's better to write something.
Also, if you don't have the correct answer but you explain, we might see that you made a small mistake; without the explanation we usually don't make any assumptions about your mistake, so you will generally lose more points (unless your explanation shows that you understand even less than we thought, in which case you will lose more points…)
